*For a double layer cake, simply double the recipe and bake in two 7-inch pans.

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 7 inch cake pan. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together all of your dry ingredients, then add in the rest of your ingredients and mix until just combined. Pour cake batter into your prepared cake pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Allow cake to cool completely before frosting. To make frosting whisk together all of your ingredients and spread over your cake. Slice and enjoy!
