Ingredients

Apples:

  • 3 granny smith apples peeled and diced
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar OR swerve brown sugar replacement

Cinnamon Whipped Cream:

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar OR powdered monk fruit
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Other:

  • 1 cup gluten free granola
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce OR sugar free caramel sauce

Instructions

  • Combine your apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a medium pan, toss to coat. Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until the apples are your preferred softness. Set aside and allow to cool for 15-120 minutes.
  • Make your cinnamon whipped cream by placing all of your whipped cream ingredients into a large mixing bowl and whisk until stiff peaks form.
  • Once everything is made and ready, assemble your trifles! Place an even layer of whipped cream, then topped with about 2 tbsp of granola, then about 2 tbsp of apples, and top the apples with a drizzle of caramel sauce. Repeat!
  • You can enjoy right away or store in the fridge for 2-3 hours until ready to serve.
