The easiest and best gluten free banana cake I’ve ever had! It’s supremely moist with tons of banana and cinnamon flavor, topped with cream cheese frosting made with almond flour.

You will be obsessing over this banana cake just as much as I am once you try it.  You will be making this banana cake again and again! I mean, just LOOK at it! How could you NOT? This cake is light, fluffy, soft, and moist. Just absolute perfection in my books! This banana cake recipe is a real crowd pleaser and perfect to bring to literally any occasion – bring to any potluck, get together, brunch, dinner or anything at all! Perfect for a sweet snack, healthy enough for breakfast, and sweet enough to be dessert! How amazing is that?!

INGREDIENTS YOU NEED TO MAKE GLUTEN FREE BANANA CAKE

  • 2 1/4 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup tapioca flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs room temperature
  • 2-3 large overripe bananas mashed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 6 tbsp cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions To Make Gluten Free Banana Cake

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper, set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together your almond flour, tapioca flour, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon until combined.
  3. Next, add in your eggs and mix well. Then, add in your mashed bananas, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined – do not overmix!
  4. Pour cake batter into your line baking dish and bake for 33-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in your baking dish.
  5. Once completely cool, make your cream cheese frosting. Whisk together all of your frosting ingredients until well combined and smooth. Spread evenly on your cake. Slice and enjoy!
