- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour OR 1:1 gluten free flour with xanthan gum
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chunks it is best to use chopped chocolate bars
Instructions To Make Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F and spray a 9x5inch loaf pan with non stick spray, set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together your flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl using an electric mixer, whisk together your melted butter, brown sugar, and sugar for about 2 minutes.
- Mix in your mashed bananas, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Switching to mixing with a rubber spatula, mix in your flour mixture until just incorporated – do not overmix. Fold in your chocolate chunks.
- Evenly pour your batter in to your prepared loaf pan, top with more chocolate chunks if desired. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted to the middle comes out almost clean.
