This gooey keto caramel sauce recipe requires only 6 ingredients and 15 minutes, and it tastes just like the real thing!
Making caramel sauce is actually much easier and faster than you may think, and totally worth it when it ends up being this delicious! I mean, who knew that caramel could be sugar free? I sure didn’t! This recipe turned out even better than I could have ever imagined. This recipe is perfect for dipping your fruit in, spreading on a piece of toast, drizzling over top of a rice cake, some popcorn, or even ice cream. You could even mix it in to some yogurt to make a caramel flavored treat, you can use this caramel sauce recipe for anything your heart desires!
INGREDIENTS YOU NEED
- 1/2 cup coconut cream (the thick part of a can of full fat coconut milk)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter OR coconut oil for dairy free
- 1 1/2 cups allulose
- 3 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp molasses
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions To Make Keto Caramel Sauce
- Heat butter and coconut cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts. Set aside and keep warm.
- In a medium saucepan, combine Allulose, water, molasses, vanilla, and salt (if your adding it). Stir to combine, then heat over medium-high heat until the temperature reaches at least 350 degrees F, and the color just starts to change.
- Stir the the warm cream and butter into the Allulose mixture you just heated. Mixture will bubble, but keep stirring and it will settle down.
- Cook the entire mixture over medium-high heat until the color deepens into an amber caramel color, stirring constantly until just combined, then pour into a glass jar. Chill in the refrigerator until cool. Enjoy! store in the fridge.

No, this recipe only works with allulose. All attempts with other sweeteners were unsuccessful for me.
Store in an airtight jar at room temperature. If it hardens a little bit nuke it in your microwave for 20 second increments.
