- 3/4 cup unsalted butter melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour OR 1:1 gluten free flour with xanthan gum
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup marshmallows
Instructions To Make Halloween Brownies
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line a 8×8 pan with parchment paper, set aside.
- Using a large bowl, whisk together your melted butter, brown sugar, and sugar until combined. Then whisk in your eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate medium sized bowl, whisk together your flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Mix your flour mixture into your sugar mixture until just combined, do not overmix.
- Evenly spread your brownie batter in to your prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out almost clean. There should be some crumbs on it.
- Allow your brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
- Once the brownies have been transferred, melt your marshmallows in a microwave for 30 secs, then stir with a fork. Allow to stand for 2 mins or so, until cool enough to handle, then using your fingers, stretch the mixture over the brownies, pulling and draping it to create a spider web effect. Slice and enjoy!
